5 takeaways from Cowboys-Colts

Right now, the Dallas Cowboys' only task is to keep winning. That's what happened on Sunday night when the Cowboys won their fourth straight game by defeating the Colts 54-19.

Here are five noteworthy events from the contest with the Colts, but first...

1. Defense goes crazy

The Cowboys' defence forced five turnovers, including two interceptions from DaRon Bland and one from Malik Hooker. Youngster Damone Clark also caused a turnover which led to a late score for Hooker as well.

Dallas scored 33 points in the fourth quarter to beat Indianapolis. The amount of points scored by Dallas in the last frame was a franchise record.

2. Brown’s injury

While wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., a free agent, is expected to be hosted by the Cowboys on Monday, the cornerback position is more urgent.

The cornerback was replaced by Kelvin Joseph, who is on the Cowboys' practice squad.

3. Pollard gets the start

Tony Pollard has never started a game with Ezekiel Elliott on the bench. Elliott didn't start because of disciplinary issues, according to Cowboys Jerry Jones. Pollard took part in the game's first seven plays before Elliott joined the team as a result of an injury.

Pollard had 91 yards on 12 carries, while Elliott had 17 carries for 77 yards. This is the first time both Elliott and Pollard have started for the Cowboys this season.

4. The Gallup and Lamb show

CeeDee Lamb grabbed a touchdown throw for 20 yards on Sunday night. Michael Gallup caught two touchdown catches for the Cowboys. He has five catches for 71 yards in two games this season.

5. Hooker haunts former team

The former Hooker was drafted by the Colts in the first round of the 2017 draft, but injuries kept him out of the team's starting line-up this season. He made his debut against his former team on Sunday night.
