Fans of "That '70s Show" will return to the basement thanks to the "That '90s Show" trailer on Netflix
The long-awaited trailer for "That '70s Show's" spinoff, "That '90s Show," has finally arrived, over 25 years after the 1998 series premiere.
The 10-episode Netflix spinoff series features returning original series cast members and is set in the summer of 1995. Leia Forman (Callie Haverda), the daughter of Eric and Donna, visits her grandparents Kitty (Debra Jo Rupp) and Red (Red Farrow) to learn more about the peculiarities of Point Place, Wisconsin (Kurtwood Smith).
Smith, who is now 79, and Rupp, who is now 71, appear frequently in the new show.
In the new trailer, Eric's parents are still peacefully residing in their Wisconsin house, which has been tastefully updated for the time period and is now home to a new crop of young hooligans.
With expected cameos from original series actors Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, and Wilmer Valderrama, Topher Grace and Laura Prepon will return to their respective roles as Eric and Donna.
As Kutcher remarked to Variety in July, "It was extremely sentimental to be back on the set."
It was somewhat strange because it was created by the same people who also created "That '70s Show."
Haverda, Ashley Aufderheide, Mace Coronel, Maxwell Acee Donovan, Reyn Doi, and Sam Morelos are fresh faces to the series.
With the help of the return of the original series' creators Bonnie Turner and Terry Turner, as well as their daughter Lindsey, to the production as writers and producers, the Netflix series will follow the format of its predecessor as a multi-camera comedy.
Gregg Mettler, who produced "That '70s Show," runs the program.
On January 19, 2023, "That '90s Show" will have its Netflix debut.
